Packages
Every Pistis package on npm and what it is for.
Pistis is published to npm as three packages. They share one version, so keep the ones you use on the same version. Most people need only the first; the second is for flows, plugins and embedding the engine.
| Package | What it is for |
|---|---|
@pistishq/cli | The server, its web app, the HTTP and MCP APIs, the Slack app (pistis slack) and the pistis command, in one package. Start here. |
@pistishq/sdk | What you write code against: flow() (@pistishq/sdk/flows), the plugin contract and the typed client (@pistishq/sdk), and the engine with its sandbox providers to embed (@pistishq/sdk/engine, /sandbox-docker, /scm, …). |
create-pistis | npm create pistis my-server: a folder that runs pistis dev, with an example flow. |
The engine, the web app, sign-in, code hosts, the sandbox providers, the fleet, the Vault store and the Slack app are built into these two packages, each with the same version; there is nothing else to install. Everything needs Node 24 or newer and is licensed Apache-2.0. The source is at github.com/akshay5995/pistis.
